THANK YOU #MTP23 SPONSORS |
CONGRATULATIONS #MTP23 GRAND CHAMPIONS ARIANNA WILLIAMS & MOM BONITA WILLIAMS & COURT OF HONOR |
A #MTP23 salute to Miss Teen Promise Grand Champions Arianna Williams & Mom Bonita Williams, representing Team A&B Selection. Their communication, talent and presentation skills registered 99. 5 with the judges. Communication is key. Blessed Girls threw away the shyness. Replaced it with confidence, and it launched Little Miss Londyn Graham into the winning stratosphere of the Supreme Miss Teen Promise title. The historic daughter and dad team representing the Mind Blowers blew through their shyness and nerves all the way to a win. Congratulations, Kamora Wilder, Royal Miss Teen Promise and Royal Dad Edward Wilder. Congratulations to all the teams for finishing the Amazing Race to Empowerment! A special thank you to the entertainment team that tore the stage down with their absolutely fantastic talent performances and built it back again fabulously by the end of their performances: Kynnadi Finks, KaMya Tackett, Nia Renee, and Nadiyah Marcello. Thank you to Kynnadi Finks and Mom DiAnnette Finks, 22nd Miss Teen Promise Grand Champions for your leadership and Super Dad Howard Finks for your support. To all the volunteers who held us up and supported the Miss Teen Promise Amazing Race to Empowerment, sponsors, patrons, family and friends, thank you so much for your financial support that helped us award over $23,000 in scholarships and prizes. To God be the glory for all he has done... Photos compliments of my beautiful and talented niece, Nyla White!

It's the #MTP23 Amazing Race Challenge #2 Me Mom and the Eggplant |
The Amazing Race to Miss Teen Promise Empowerment continues with MTP Race Challenge #2 featuring the eggplant and the teams creating healthy and fun recipes.
This leg of the race is about making healthy choices and learning about vegetables you may not have eaten before. Does eggplant have the power to help a shy person overcome their shyness? Great question, and I say there could be something there to explore. Let's test that theory as we watch the team races unfold.
To learn more and support a program helping females become more positive, poised, professional, productive and polished young ladies and awarding them scholarship funds, visit www.MissTeenPromise.com and cast your vote for the best team presentation.

|
| Teen Promise Incorporated started the year off with excitement being one of several organizations in Central Arkansas to receive a grant donation from Senator, Linda Chesterfield, D-Little Rock.
During a recent segment of the “Broadway Joe Morning Show” on Power 92.3 FM, a media sponsor of the Miss Teen Promise program, Senator Chesterfield presented a check in the amount of $2,000 to Evangeline Parker-Guest, Founder & Executive Director of Teen Promise Incorporated.
“I chose Miss Teen Promise because it provides a positive mechanism for young ladies to reach their full potential,” said Chesterfield. “By helping our girls develop communication skills, coping skills and the poise to engage in public discourse, opens vistas that will have a lasting impact on their lives."
Senator Chesterfield ended the presentation by thanking Parker-Guest for her vision!
“Praise God and thank you so much for supporting the Teen Promise program,” said Parker-Guest. “We have begun our recruitment phase for the 17th Annual Miss Teen Promise Female Preparatory & Scholarship program; and, this donation will help us reach and teach more females.”
Parker-Guest remembered seeing Senator Chesterfield at the 16th Annual Miss Teen Promise Scholarship Competition; and, remembered the senator stating that she wanted to do something to support the work of Miss Teen Promise.
“Senator Chesterfield is known to be a woman of her word; and, she has really proven that with her support of the Teen Promise program,” said Parker-Guest.

| This holiday season, Miss Teen Promise 2013, MyKala Wallace and Miss Teen Promise Princess 2013, Courtlyn Clark kicked off their Christmas holiday in service at the Watershed. Known as the world's first "social hospital," the Watershed helps those in need.
Before arriving at the Watershed on Monday, December 23, Courtlyn and MyKala collected food. Along with the Teen Promise donation of canned food items and the royalty collection of food items, enough food was donated by Teen Promise to assist the Watershed in feeding at least 25 families during the Christmas holiday. The duo didn't stop there, they also donated 4 hours to help distribute toys so that other children would have a Merry Christmas!
MyKala's day started at 7:00 a.m. with an interview on the Broadway Joe Morning Show! When asked why she supports the Watershed? MyKala shared that she wanted to help others so she worked with her church family to collect non-perishable food items to make sure those in need had food at Christmas.
Courtlyn was smiles all morning long because she said she knew she was helping those less fortunate have a good Christmas!
When asked what was the most important thing learned from their volunteer service? "We distributed toys for children between the ages of 13 and 17; and, we realize that if it were not for the Watershed the children on the Watershed Toy List would not have anything for Christmas."
A special Thank You to Rev. Stewart and the Watershed for inviting Teen Promise,Inc. to serve at the world's first social hospital the Watershed! Also, a special Thank You to the Teen Promise parents and family members for supporting this service effort!
